About UOSE/TBOA

For the current road towards the revival, rebirth, and rejuvenation of the great Gadaa-based Oromo civilization, let’s do the least we can now.

The Union of Oromo Students in Europe, (UOSE) or Tokkummaa Barattoota Oromoo Awurooppaa (TBOA) is a student organization founded in Germany, in 1974. It primarily advocates for the human right and realization of self determination of the Oromo people in Ethiopia. TBOA  has achieved a tremendous result in nurturing and developing the culture and language of the Oromo nation, which was almost on the verge systematic elimination, in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
Currently, TBOA is led by an elected Executive Committee and Advisory Board, with mass support from sub branch members in Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and other European Countries.
TBOA believes in dialogue and reconciliation to solve the century long problem of the Ethiopian politics. Accordingly it is open for membership, partnership and support to go forward to see justice, equality and rule of law in Ethiopian and the Horn of Africa.
